Use Robinhood’s official connector
Robinhood supports an external Claude connection through its trading MCP. This is separate from choosing a model inside Robinhood’s own agent. Start with an eligible primary Robinhood individual account and review the permissions during authorization.
The steps below follow Robinhood’s external-agent instructions, checked October 3, 2026. Claude’s available connector controls can vary by account and workspace.
Claude Desktop
- Open the connector settings
In Claude, go to Settings → Connectors → Add custom connector.
- Use the official endpoint
Enter
https://agent.robinhood.com/mcp/trading. Complete authorization on Robinhood’s page, reviewing the account access before you accept. - Complete account setup
Follow Robinhood’s external-agent onboarding if prompted. A connected assistant and a funded, trade-enabled account are separate requirements.
Claude Code
If you already use Claude Code, Robinhood documents this command:
claude mcp add robinhood-trading --transport http https://agent.robinhood.com/mcp/tradingThen enter /mcp, select robinhood-trading and authenticate. The Claude Code MCP documentation explains connector configuration and authentication.
Check access before asking for an order
Read my account balances and holdings. Identify the account eligible for agent trades. Do not place or change orders. Tell me if a tool or permission is missing.
Compare the answer with Robinhood. Its external MCP can expose data from other Robinhood accounts even though order placement is limited to the Agentic account. Review that distinction before sharing account data with an assistant.
Connecting Claude does not guarantee that it will accept a particular trading request or keep a job running after you leave. If a request fails, use the connection and order checklist; do not retry an uncertain order until you check its status.
For Agency’s separate browser workflow, use the Agency setup guide.
