The market is about right: stronger execution and cash reserves balance rising component costs and uneven customer spending. My twelve-month target is $10.36, assuming modest sales growth and lower radio-equipment margins in 2027.
Key points
- SEK 33 billion of 2027 operating profit approximately supports today's price under my valuation.
- 19.5% is my 2027 Networks profit-margin forecast, below the latest quarter's exceptional level.
- $10.36 a share is my twelve-month target; cash reserves keep the downside contained.
The call
The market is about right, not demanding another blockbuster quarter. At my valuation multiple, today's price requires approximately SEK 33 billion of 2027 operating profit. That assumes modest sales growth and continued cost discipline, rather than an industry-wide spending boom.
Growth is concentrated outside the AmericasSource: Ericsson Q3 report, October 15, 2026. Organic sales growth versus Q3 2025.
I expect slightly less profit as parts inflation catches up with customer contracts. My 2027 sales forecast grows approximately 2%, supported by commercial wins and software deliveries. AT&T's unchanged multiyear investment budget supports demand, but not acceleration. The recent share-price rebound deserves respect; uneven demand argues against extrapolating it.
Valuation
| My twelve-month valuation | Estimate |
|---|
| 2027 revenue | SEK 235.5 billion |
| 2027 operating profit after restructuring | SEK 31.8 billion |
| Business value / operating profit | 9 times |
| Forecast cash after debt, pensions and leases | SEK 45.8 billion |
| Forecast diluted economic shares, both classes | 3.2 billion |
| Twelve-month target per ADS | $10.36 |
I use SEK 10 per dollar and deduct recurring restructuring and acquired-intangible amortization, the accounting expense for purchased assets, from forecast profit. Nine times reflects a mature equipment business, with no separate premium for AI or network applications. Cash limits downside, but faster price increases are needed for substantial upside.

Risks
- Price increases could arrive faster than expected; watch Networks margins and contract-renewal commentary during 2027.
- Customer purchases brought forward could reverse; watch orders, deliveries and inventory together, not subscriber growth alone.
- Legal settlements or a stronger dollar could reduce the ADS value; watch investigation disclosures and currency-adjusted results.
What would change my mind
Two consecutive 2027 quarters with Networks margins above 21%, excluding restructuring, alongside inventory reduction would make my cost-pressure forecast too cautious.
